Today’s in-flight entertainment could be the best sex of your life.
After video of a couple getting frisky aboard a RyanAir flight surfaced last week, some are wondering just how many are in the Mile High Club and why people do it.
Relationship expert Susan Quilliam told The UK Sun that part of it is the novelty and excitement of pulling off an illegal sexual act.
The height of plane, Quilliam added, also plays a part in the heightened pleasures of hooking up in the skies.
“One of the great things about sex in the air is that it can safely affect the balance of oxygen to your brain – which can heighten sensation and make for a strong orgasm,” Quilliam says.
“Flying can sometimes lower the amount of oxygen in your bloodstream and your brain – when safely achieved, this can make you feel even more aroused.”
The Mile High Club refers to an “unofficial” group of people who’ve done the deed at 30,000 ft.
A 2011 Sky Scanner survey asked 1,000 passengers about their in-flight extracurriculars and found that almost half admitted to flirting while flying.
Out of those surveyed, a whopping 94% said they want to have sex during a flight.
